Monday 21st May - Haçienda 30th Birthday

On the 21st May 1982, Factory Records and New Order opened a night club. Initially as they'd been on tour to New York and were hanging around in clubs like Paradise Garage and The Loft. Arriving back in Manchester they couldn't even get in a club wearing what they wanted to... let's open a club... they did... it changed everything... mainly the bank account for the first 6 years but then in 1987 Acid House kicked back against a Jason & Kylie pop culture.. and like punk had kicked back against Disco in the late 70s... Dance music had arrived.. the global epicentre of it was The Haçienda.. the worlds first superclub.. an industrial warehouse space that kick started a new generation..

30 years on, on Monday the 21st May 2012 we are hosting a very special party back in actual Haçienda itself.. in the basement car park of the Haçienda flats.
Its a charity event for invited guests only - there is a CHARITY AUCTION LISTING on eBay - Search Hacienda30... and guest requests will be considered via email at info@factorymanchester.com

DJs Greame Park, 808 State, K-Klass, John Dasilva, Greg Wilson, Peter Hook, Aaron Mellor.
